Penile Doppler Ultrasound - Charges($599)
Penile Doppler Ultrasound is a procedure that evaluates the inflow and outflow of blood to your penis. It allows the Urologist to determine whether your erectile dysfunction is due to a blood flow issue. Additionally, it allows the Urologist to assess your response to medication as the procedure is performed with an erect penis. The procedure is performed while you are laying on your back on an examination table. A penile injection is performed with a small needle, which opens the arteries to allow you to achieve an erection. Most people experience a tiny “insect bite” sensation with the injection. Using an ultrasound probe along the shaft of your penis, we will measure the blood flow in the penile arteries on both sides of the penis. There is no pain during the ultrasound portion of the study.
You may experience mild discomfort during the injection. You may also develop a small bruise which will heal. The erection should go away within 4 hours; however, occasionally, some patients do experience a prolonged erection (>4 hours). If this occurs, please call the office at 204-900-8716, or go to your nearest emergency department/urgency care for treatment.

Kidneys, Bladder, Prostate Size Ultrasound - Charges($499)
As men get older, the prostate increases in size and cause symptoms that can include frequency, urgency, weak stream, incomplete emptying, etc… An ultrasound to evaluate the size and shape of your prostate can help guide the Urologist in deciding which treatment option is the most appropriate for your voiding symptoms. Additionally, as the Prostate grows preventing you from emptying your bladder effectively, this can cause swelling of the kidneys which can be identified by an ultrasound.
The procedure is painless and requires the ultrasound technician using a small probe to look at the Kidneys, Bladder and Prostate. After the initial images are taken, you will go empty your bladder in the bladder and the technician will evaluate how well you’ve emptied your bladder.
